Printing - Diagnosing common problems
Printing on a workstation and getting a message can not find a printer
- Try again - sometimes the problem goes away immediately
- Shut down the application, re-open it, & try again
- If nothing else works, restart the computer - this should always work
- Have the student try at a different workstation, since rebooting takes a while
Printing on a laptop and getting a message about not being able to connect to a printer
- The wireless connection was probably lost. To fix:
- Move your mouse over the icons along the bottom right of the screen til you find the wireless icon
- Right-click the mouse, select Repair
- When wireless connection is repaired, printing should work fine
Not getting past "Calculating" on Print Assistant menu (either workstation or laptop)
- Go to student printer, and:
- Make sure it isn't printing anything
- Shut printer off (on/off switch on right side) & back on again
- Printer should be ready & functional again in a few minutes
